Thread: Simple script to modify csv file

Hi All,

I have a long CSV file that has the follow fields

Name
Area Code
Number

I need to join the area code and the number together so the csv is just two fields...

anyone got a bit of code lying around they want to send my way???

Or actually I would like to learn how to do it because then I can do similar things in the future. I can do it in PHP but would rather do a windows based one if I could...

so you just need to rewrite the .csv file? or are you doing something with the .csv file, like importing it to a database or something?

Hey Mehere...very simply just wanting to merge the two fields of the .csv file. I will then important it into a fax program but that will be a manual process and nice and easy if the fax number is one field.

turns out I don't need a clever script!

=A1&B1 does the trick!!

I am obviously too used to complicate things!!!
