I'm not sure as I don't use Access..They do support Access, but whether that is using a Jet connection, I'm not sure..You can ask them before you purchase..
Go to support and click on pre-sales query
Depending on the package you get you may get a number of MySql databases included, so it may make sense to set your site up with that instead...Would probably mean making some small alterations to your db queries as the syntax for some is slightly different..
You wouldn't be able to setup an account without a domain name. There would be no way for a server to determine which site is being accessed without a domain name.
If you were going to run it from home you would use the public IP address of your connection..Obviously this could change unless you had a static IP..
Don't know about across the pond, but most (all?) internet providers (e.g. Comcast) prohibit running servers (by the average joe subscriber) in the Terms and Conditions. It would probably be a bad idea anyway since the uplink speed is quite a bit lower then the downlink speed (in my case -- using a Sat. connection -- uplink is 256K while downlink is 1MB)

Shucks, many web hosting providers will toss in a domain name when you sign up. If not, I think it runs about US$ 7 a year.
