Default Forum Specific Rep

Hey,

I was just wondering...... before we get huge and all, how hard would it be to make the rep specific to the category? For instance, in ASP development, AOG has a rep of 2, but in MS Access, he has a rep of 1205. Well the people in asp development would know that he doesn't get repped there as much as he would show as 2 rep, not 1205.

Just an idea, and don't know if vBulletins can do such a thing.

Something like that would be very complicated. Each user's reputation count is calculated and stored in their profile. The power is then calculated from that stored value.

It is possible, as the appropriate information is stored in another table. However, that would involve massive calculations which would hinder performance.

However, I've been looking into some awards plugins that would allow a user to have specific awards and such. For example, a user could be awarded as an ASP Development Expert. Then people will have an idea where most of their reputation power came from.
