    Flash interactive wave menu

Alright, I think I've been overdoing my use of the forums, but it's been helpful, so here goes another doozy.

I was wondering if anyone knows how this wave menu was created and how I could do something similar:

    TOTO:トイレ・ユニットバス・システムキッチン・洗面 所・リフォーム・増改築

    Thanx in advance

    H.

Basically, you need Adobe Flash which I believe you buy separate or as a part of the Adobe CS4 suite. Then you have to learn how to use it, its tools and such. I did some basic Flash animations years ago, but nothing even in the intermediate range.

LOL... ok, I have Flash, I know how to work with most things in flash and I've searched the web for somehting even similar to this, and it seems that no one has produced such a great flash effect. I've heard, "oh that must be...", but they never give me a plausible, practical answer, just thought I would try here

    Thanx

lol I was not sure of your experience with Flash, so started at the basics. Anyway, what effect are you tring to mimic, exactly? The sound when hovering over a menu item?

No, I wanted that great wave effect on the top images, that is interactive with the mouse cursor. I've had a few guys say it's a simple mask effect, but I can't find anything with such great results :P

It's such a simple looking effect, with tons of impact, at least I think so

I did find this toto.jp Wave effect - ActionScript.org Forums

which links to senocular.com - Flash Source Files

Might give you a starting point...

    Hope that helps.

It looks like someone else was trying something similar. Perhaps this will help get you started: project: interactive liquid wave - Flash Kit Community Forums

RichyRich: I think this is where I first found the effect. The only thing that I found was that the exmple had a slower reaction time, very sluggish, but looking at the explanations at the top helps understand things a bit better.

jmurrayhead: that seems like an interesting option. I wonder if I tweek some parameter whether it will work the way I plan to use...

Thanx guys, I'll keep messing around with it, If I manage to get a similar effect, I'll let you know
