Ok, well, guess we'll wait to see what results the wired test shows, and go from there. Just wanted to get the basic questions out of the way.

OK. Just managed to test it with a wire and it's fine. Response time <1ms to router.
Must be a problem with the wireless card either faulty or not seated correctly...Last time I order a Dell with a wireless card installed!!
I reckon it must have been like that from day 1..Never enough thought to test the response time..It's just been getting worse over the last few weeks though so had to do something about it...
Thank the lord I got that sorted...Was driving me insane...
well, the next thing I would do, is, uninstall the drivers, put it in a different pci slot, download the latest version drivers, and try it again.
I would also make sure it is in the same workgroup or domain, try a different static ip (ya never know, a printer or something might be trying to get that ip dynamically)
