    Explorer using IE interface

I'm not sure if this is linked to a recent Internet Security 2010 infestation or not, but I think part of it changed the setting to not show hidden files and folders.

To change it back I want to go into Folder Options. However, I also can't seem to find Folder Options anymore. It's not in Control Panel and when I open up, say My Computer, my Explorer seems to be using an IE interface with no Folder Options in any of the menus.

Any ideas how I can get this back?

If I could find the people that come up with these programs, I'd string them up by a part of their anatomy!!

OK. I managed to get it back. Tried various options found on google. What worked was going into the registry (Start -> Run -> regedit) and changing the string value at:-
    Code:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current
    Version\Policies\Explorer\No Folder Options

from 1 to 0. Then did a restart and it was back.

    Hope that helps someone else.
