    Excel 2003 formula time issue

    Hi All,

I've been processing a file the same way for over a year now in excel...where I take a setup of data and create a vlookup, then on another worksheet create the formula to pull the data from the vlookup and then copy down the formula. Well, I'm having trouble when copying, it's taking a loooong time to put in the data and at the bottom is reads (calculating cells %)...its about 27,000 rows. does anyone know if this could be some sort of setting in excel causing it to take so long? or if it may be a problem with my pc?

I just had some RAM installed and I thought things would get better not worse.

Calculations can take a long time if there is a large range of data. Note that everytime you copy and past it recalculates if you have it on automatic.

Check your calculation settings and experiment with the different ones. It is important to note that changes to calculation style affect ALL workbooks.
