Thread: Odd Problem

I have a bit of an odd situation with an excel document. Here is what I need to do: The document consists of a report, but the report was imported into just one column. I need to search for a particular phrase and if it is found, I need the text in the 4 cells above the phrase. Example:

text needed
text needed
text needed

phrase searched for

Couldn't get all you wanted but maybe this will help a bit...

Code:

=IF(SEARCH("phrase searched for",YOURCOLUMN),3CellsUp)

=IF(SEARCH("phrase searched for",A7),A4)

Just couldn't get it to show you all 3 cells above, only 1.
