    If formula help in excel

    Hi All,

    i have some values in cell as so....

    A1
    1
    329
    238
    23
    53
    323

    in cellA2..i want it have values "1, 2, or 3" depending on value in A1...
    if less than 50 then "1" else if between 51 and 100 then "2" or else greater than 100 then "3".

    Thanks for the reply.

    Its telling me I entered too many arguments... I changed 1,2,3 to A, B, C...does that make a difference?
