    Moving IIS?

    Hi All,

How does someone go about moving IIS files/directory to another new server? Is it just a copy/paste of the whole "Inetpub" directory?

Has anyone had to do this and is there anything else involved with putting everything onto a new server?

    FYI - everything is internal/network.

Thanks for any direction/advice on this subject.

    Ok, reviewing the article.

Another question, this server is also a sqldb server, is there any order which should be setup/installed first, sql or iis?

Hmmm...if I remember, IIS installed with the OS, so SQL SERVER would go on top of that. Not sure is really matters tho...

Are you finally going to get SQL SERVER 2005? Welcome to the 21st Century.

If you go to Control Panel->Administrative Tools and don't see Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager there, the no it didn't go in

Go to Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs->Add/Remove Windows Components->Application Server and you'll find IIS there.
