I've been scratching my head, trying to figure out new ways to get through the mundane task of entering in times. I've come up with about 5 different methods, 4 of which are included in this database (at the bottom of this thread). I always wondered how hard it would be to make an analog clock to enter in times, and now I have my answer. It's not hard, but it is time consuming. I also flirted around with spinners, and option groups. Of course I had to include the easiest method, input mask. In the not so distant future, I will be submitting a time-card program that will allow for time card entries, and also do calculations and reports. Anyhow, that's a future project, hopefully you'll enjoy this sample database. I know the coding could have been cleaned up a bunch, but, I simply ran out of time. Here's the database sample:

Nice work, benji! A great comparison of methods. While the analog clock is very clever, it takes up a lot of valuable room on a form. My favorite is the spinners.

I agree that the analog clock takes a little bit of form space, but you could include that in a separate form and do a popup on got focus, if null, in a time field on a form. Last edited by sbenj69; July 14th, 2008 at 02:14 PM.
