    Problems with pivot charts.

I seem to be having a problem trying to create a pivot chart in Access 2007. Has anyone else had problems with this? When I try to create one, it gives me an error and shuts down the program.

    What's the error you get?

Almost sounds like a problem with the installation of Access -- can you try 'repairing' it from the installation CD? Without an error message, it's impossible to give any specific ideas.

I get the classic "Microsoft has encountered an error and will have to shut down" blah, blah, blah. I will confess I don't know much about pivot charts, but I can't imagine what I am doing should be that detrimental to the program.

Yup, now it does sounds like Access (or Office if you will) is corrupted and should be reinstalled/repaired.

I'm sticking with a corrupt DLL someplace in the system. It may be necessary to uninstall/reinstall Access or Office. Backup your system before you go much further tho.

I can create the pivot chart ok, but when I go to work with any of the properties, like changing the axis titles, it shuts down with the error.

Have you tried a compact repair? as you have already attempted a reinstall repair i can't think of anything else that will help.

I have not used 2007, but can tell you there are faults with the ms graphs,. for example i have db using 2003 graphs on xp but they do not function correctly on vista pc's.
