Default Good image resizer?

Can anyone point me to a good free asp image resizing script, I am currently using OWC to resize images and the output quality is terrible.

I would use shadow wizards but the thumbs come out with larger file sizes than the originals, is there anything out there that can make clear compact thumbs from images upon upload??

I've never used anything like that in Classic, only .Net...but maybe you can grab something from one of these image gallery scripts: ASP Image Gallery Script and Components :: Hot Scripts

Or how about proprietary/paid scripts? I would take just about anything at the moment assuming it works well...

Thanks for the links JMH but not quite what I need...

I think there was a discussion about this before and several members suggested ASPJpeg which is a server component, so you'd need to buy it and install it on the server.

I haven't used it myself.

Don't know if that is of any help....

I have .NET code that can resize images on the fly - it can be integrated
with classic ASP by using XMLHTTP or just by invoking .aspx page from
within .asp - should work fine. let me know if you want.

Yeah, I have used it before shadow, in fact shadowUploader is in fairly high rotation in my lib problem is with shadowResize the thumbs sometimes have a larger file size to the original from my tests, or have you found a solution to that?

I have some new code that is more simple - didn't really test it
with large files yet but if you want PM me with your email and
I'll send.
