Discuss "New Blog System" in the Announcements forum.

I initially started off with a poll to determine if you all would be interested in contributing to a DeveloperBarn blog.

I quickly changed my mind when I decided that the blog system would be great to attract to new visitors to our site. So, without further ado, I announce the new blog system. The link to view blogs is right next to the User CP link.

In order to post a blog, you must be a member of the new 'Bloggers' usergroup. As a blogger, you are a direct representation of DeveloperBarn. This means that we will choose who is able to create blogs very carefully.

To join the 'Bloggers' group, go to the User CP and click 'Group Memberships' under the 'Networking' heading. Follow the instructions on the screen. Once you are approved by DeveloperBarn forum staff, you will be able to create new blog entries.

If any of you are interested in being a blog moderator, please let myself of lewy know. You do not need any special skills like you would as a forum moderator. We just need people to keep an eye on the blogs for spam comments and such. This does not grant you forum moderator privelages.

We hope that this new feature will bring more people to our community so that we can make DeveloperBarn forums the best resource for IT/Developers around the world.
