1. Do not spam in the forums, private message systems or via any other form of communication provided by these forums.
Spam is defined as unsolicited advertisement of goods, services and any other unrelated content. New accounts created for the sole purpose of spamming will be banned immediately. Existing users will be given a warning, following an immediate banning of their account for future offenses. This may be treated on a case-by-case basis to the determination of the administrator/moderator.
2. Do not cross post questions.
Cross posting refers to when a user creates a thread in one forum and then creates the same thread in another, in hopes of receiving more attention for their topic. If you post a thread and feel that it is not in the correct forum, you may contact a moderator and ask him/her to move it for you, or you may report the post using the post reporting feature at the top of each post.
3. Do not intentionally post in the wrong forum.
We understand that choosing a forum to post your topic in can be somewhat confusing. However, common sense should prevail on most topics. For example, don't post a SQL related question in the Database Design forum.
4. Do not post any copyright-infringing materials.
If you do not have the right to redistribute copyrighted materials, do not post them in our forums.
5. Do not post offensive content in any forum.
Do not post anything which is offensive, hateful, racist, sexist, discriminatory, obscene, vulgar or in violation of local or international laws.
6. Do not request for help via the private message system.
We have forums for a reason, which is to receive help. It also provides possible solutions to any other members who may come across the same problems. If you communicate via private messages, everyone will not be able to benefit from the knowledge learned.
7. Do not post anything that resembles a signature unless you have been a member for at least 30 days with at least 30 posts.
In order to prevent spam, we do not allow new members to have a signature in their posts or anything that resembles a signature.
8. Remain respectful to ALL forum members at ALL times.
This forum exists for the reason of helping people with their forum-related questions. You have every right to disagree with any member, including moderators and administrators. However, you do not have the right to attack, degrade, insult, harass, belittle any member, or do anything else that would be deemed inappropriate. Remain professional and courteous.
